VAP - Veracity Adapter 4.5 release note

We are constantly aiming to create a better experience for you as a VAP user.
The main goals for this release v. 4.5 are found below.

New features in VAP services

All pages in a Power BI report can be exported to PDF or PowerPoint
There has been no way to print all pages in a Power BI report before. Only the current report pages you were interacting with could be printed, when print was enabled on the report.

Now you can Export all report pages to PDF and print the PDF. It will give you a snapshot of the data as of the time it was printed.

On Manage report you have thise new options

When interaction with the report from HOME you will see the new export icon. When clicked you can select PDF or PowerPoint

NOTE there are a few limitations set by Microsoft.

  • It can be time-consuming
  • Map types can have limited support

Handel Personal data strictly
When uploading a file you must confirm if personal data is uploaded or not. A report with personal data will subject for warning messages and questions.
Some limitations are also set on report, web apps, images or PDF’s if it contains personal data.
Public view is not allowed nor Self-subscribe can not be used.

New background module for time-consuming tasks
As Administrator you see the new Background Job module. We have developed it to improve performance on time consuming tasks.
Batch Add user will be run as a background module. You can continue to work with other tasks in your service without waiting for the result. Click Background Job to view the result.

Features coming down the pipeline – but cannot be promised

  • UX update
  • Add open links available for all users of my VAP service
  • ArcGIS map support when Energy Systems or VerIT Store is ready for licensing
  • Support Power Apps in Power BI in VAP investigate if the same method as ArcGIS support could be used
  • Support more connection types in Power BI reports
  • Include images in tutorials for improved communication
  • Creating the tutorials inside the service makes it easier for you compared to using the JSON template
